Sodium Butyrate FORTE is intended for dietary use for the proper functioning of the intestines, especially in the case of IBS. In a daily serving (2 capsules), it contains 1,200 mg of sodium butyrate, including up to 940 mg of the active ingredient, butyric acid. Sodium Butyrate FORTE is a mono-ingredient product and contains only sodium butyrate. It has a specific odour, characteristic of this ingredient. It is perceptible because we have not added substances to mask the odour. Sodium Butyrate FORTE capsules are resistant to low pH acid, but dissolve in a neutral pH environment.

It contains no unnecessary fillers, preservatives or colourings. The pure composition free of impurities is confirmed by product tests carried out by an independent, accredited laboratory of J.S. Hamilton Poland.

Sodium butyrate FORTE is worth using for dietary management in:

- irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)

- intestinal infections and inflammatory diseases of the intestinal mucosa (Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis)

- disturbances of the intestinal flora, e.g. after antibiotic therapy

- acute diarrhoea and intestinal disorders of various origins caused by e.g. chemotherapy, radiotherapy, pathogens 

- nutrient deficiencies (e.g. insufficient fibre supply, low-fiber diet)

Key ingredient:

- Butyric acid (sodium butyrate) is a short-chain fatty acid whose presence in the intestine allows the maintenance of a normal pH AND the proper function of enterocytes. In order to increase the production of butyric acid in the large intestine, fibre-rich foods should be consumed.

Recommended intake:

Adults: 1 capsule twice daily - after breakfast and after dinner. The product should be taken whole with a drink of water. The duration of use of the product should be as recommended by your doctor.

Can I open the capsule and consume only the contents?

No, the product should be consumed whole, with the capsule, as it protects it from the hydrochloric acid in the stomach. This allows the butyric acid to reach the intestine. The capsules should not be chewed or bitten. They should not be left in the mouth to dissolve.
